On Tuesday we got together with some other moms and kids in the ward to go strawberry pickin'! The Carlsbad Strawberry fields are so close to my house. I have always wanted to go there with the kids, and we finally made it after 4 years of living here. We had so much fun picking the perfect red, ripe juicy ones. The boys each had there own cup to fill, and they did a good job. Gwen had so much fun being a big girl and picking some for herself.(: She was lovin' it! We are already talking about going back for some more strawberry pickin' fun. Yes, they are already ALL gone!

How fun and memorable this was! It brings back memories of our family going to fields in Indiana and Illinois to pick strawberries by the case loads. But they were 2-3 times the size of these. Then we would bring them home and help mom by washing, slicing or mashing the strawberries to make bottled and frozen jam and dessert topping. Mom made gorgeous fresh strawberry pies too! Mmmm, My mouth is watering. Glad you had good weather and that you went. :)
Your pics are a lot cuter than the ones I took that day. ;) -I got there a little late as my friend Ali and I had already planned to go at 10 that day before the ward decided to go, anyway, she told me that if you go up to the top of the hill, that's where the sweetest biggest strawberries are -and most people don't go up there so there are TONS of big ones! I picked half below and half above, and I agree, the ones at the top were SO much sweeter!

Yummy! Ethan loves strawberries too. I need to find a place like that out here to take him to. He'd love it! Such cute pictures of all your kiddos.
