Newport Coast Vacation 09'~Evening on Balboa Island

We went to Balboa Island for an evening of fun. My Dad decided it would be lots of fun to rent a small touring boat that we could take all around the Island. It was so much fun, and so pretty to be out in the water in the evening when the sun was ready to go down. The little boys loved it. They each got a turn to help Papa drive the boat! It was such a fun, memorable boat ride. Thanks Papa and Grammy! We loved it!

4th of July

We had such a fun 4th of july this year! We spent the whole day at the beach with the whole Collins family and most of all Mema & Papa ( got home from Russia the day before), and then spent the evening in Ladera Ranch for their famous fire works! The boys loved watching the fire works. I thought sawyer was going to be a little nervous about the noise, but he loved it. He just repeated over and over "fire, fire, fire!" The boy is obsessed with anything that has to do with fire! kind of scary!

The day finally came when we were able to say Mema & Papa come home today!! We were all so excited to have them home again ! It was a long 3 years without our Mema & Papa! Everyone was so excited to give them big hugs and kisses! Each grandchild made a cute welcome home poster, and each held a balloon at the airport! We all waited anxiously near the baggage claim, when we saw them come around the corner all the kids ran immediately to give Mema & Papa a huge hug! We are so happy Mema & Papa are home from their Mission! We had some fun times with them the last few weeks, trying to soak up the time we had with them before they went back to AZ. They were amazing Mission Presidents, and were and are such an example to us. We love you so much!!
